The long wait is finally over, and we can play Diablo 2: Resurrected on our favorite systems such as PC, Xbox One & Switch. That leaves us with the big question, is Diablo 2 Resurrected crossplay?
Unfortunately, our options are more limited. What does it mean? Let’s take a look at the explanations regarding crossplay below.
Is Diablo 2 Resurrected Crossplay?
Nowadays, gaming is more convenient than ever thanks to crossplay. We love that we can progress in our game no matter what device is handy.
For example, we can play a game on a PC at night and then carry right over to Nintendo Switch during lunch break. It doesn’t get much more convenient than this because all you need are linked Battle.net accounts with whichever platforms you own. So, basically there’s really nothing holding back anyone who wants access.
To put it simply, games that support crossplay require you to purchase the same game on a different platform. Of course, not a lot of people are willing to do that.
However, when it comes to playing with your friends when you’re on-the-go or simply just taking a break outside, it is definitely worth it.
The ability to play with people on other platforms in the same game has truly changed gaming forever. Unfortunately, this feature will not be a part of Diablo 2 resurrected. So, the answer to your question is Diablo 2 resurrected crossplay is not.
Will Crossplay Be Added?
So, now you know that it doesn’t support crossplay. But don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world. There’s no news yet when feature will be added to the game, however it is a similar case with other popular games.
Take Apex Legends for example. Apex Legends didn’t have the crossplay feature at launch. It even took one year to implement it!
So, even though Diablo 2 isn’t available cross platform, there’s a chance that the feature will be applied sometime in the future!
