Ubisoft finally explained Assassin’s Creed Infinity after explaining the three Assassins Creed series, Mirage, Codename Jade, Codename Red, and Codename Hexe.
Ubisoft explains in Ubisoft Forward that Assassins Creed Infinity is a game, but also a hub or special place, as the animus told in the game.
What is Assasin’s Creed Infinity?
Assassin’s Creed Infinity will house a range of games of all genres and lengths. It will combine premium packaged games with both paid and free content. There will be a multiplayer option that brings the franchise’s periods together. And it will be the setting for Assassin’s Creed’s modern-day plot.
But first, consider the fundamental idea of Infinity. It is neither a video game, nor is it intended to be a substitute for previous Assassin’s Creed games. It is a platform that will hold both previous and future Assassin’s Creed entries, beginning with Codename Red, a Shinobi-themed RPG that will be released at some point in the future. This full-priced, single-player, open-world RPG will cost the same as any previous Assassin’s Creed title.
With a new brand, Infinity, Assassin’s Creed Infinity will expand on the multiplayer experience of the entire Assassins Creed franchise.
Marc-Alexis Cote, a Ubisoft producer, explains how players can interact with the Assassins Creed Infinity hub.
“We are currently investigating ways to bring standalone multiplayer back to the Assassins Creed universe, which is now finally connected in the Assassins Creed Infinity hub,” he added.
Given that the game has been so focused on single player content, it’s unclear what Ubisoft’s efforts are to’re-present’ Assassins Creed’s multiplayer mode.
Ubisoft hasn’t released a multiplayer Assassins Creed game in nearly ten years, with Unity featuring co-op and several series featuring PvP mode.
Of course, considering that it is not Ubisoft’s primary focus, the multiplayer Assassins Creed Infinity mode is one of the experiences that Ubisoft will convey to fans to imagine at this time.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how far Ubisoft goes to pack Assassins Creed Infinity when it is ready.
Assassins Creed Infinity also shows two Assassins Creeds, Codename Red and Codename Hexe. Both titles will have a multiplayer mode, as indicated.
