The weeks between major Fortnite updates can be tedious at times, but this week is an exception. As Shadow of Phantasm week comes to an end, Fire with Fire week arrives in Fortnite update today, bringing something a little more explosive and chaotic to town. As you might expect, this entails setting a lot of things on fire and generally wreaking havoc on the island.
There are new weapons, items with increased spawn rates, and challenges to complete. We’ll give you all the details so you know what to expect when the event kicks off later today.

Fortnite Update Today: Fire with Fire week Unvaulted Weapons
This event begins on September 7 at 9 a.m. ET and ends on September 13 at 9 a.m. ET. During that time, Firefly Jars will spawn in high numbers everywhere items are normally found. Along with this, you’ll find the Chug Cannon a lot more often, just so you have something to fight all the fires that will be thrown your way.
The two unvaulted weapons are the main attraction. The first is the Primal Flame Bow, the first Bow weapon to be available in Fortnite in a long time, so don’t pass up the opportunity to play with this one-of-a-kind weapon. The second weapon is the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun, which fires incendiary bullets at a target.
This week’s challenges will involve using these weapons and items in some way, but those challenges have yet to be revealed. They’ll probably give you 12k XP for each challenge you complete, making them a quick way to level up your Battle Pass.
