Call of Duty Beta Download and Release Date

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta download is coming this week, with PlayStation gamers expected to gain access shortly.

It’s worth noting that not all pre-ordered players will be able to begin playing this weekend or at the same time.

However, with additional testing planned, everyone will soon have the opportunity to try out MW2 multiplayer before the final product is released in October.

Call of Duty BETA Download and Details

The release date and time for the Pre-Order Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta have been set for Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST.

However, as previously stated, this weekend’s beta access is available only for those who own a PS4 or PS5 console. The advantage is that players on these platforms will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to participate, even though it appears that they will have one anyway.

This weekend has been divided into two parts, with the first two days dedicated to those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, as well as those who received a Beta code. These are the players who will be available on September 16, 2022.

However, from September 18 to September 20, all PlayStation owners will be able to play, regardless of whether they pre-order the game or intend to purchase the entire experience in October. 

“The rest of the weekend, from Sunday, September 18 at 10AM PT to Tuesday, September 20, is accessible to all PlayStation players regardless of pre-order status,” Activision says. PlayStation players can now enjoy the impressive amount of Beta content available in Modern Warfare 2, as well as the in-game rewards available at launch.”

Activision has stated that the MW2 beta will feature various maps and modes throughout its various iterations in September 2022. Some of these will go beyond the core 6v6 experience with a variety of maps of varying sizes, as well as a rotation of Modes, Progression experiences, and other aspects that will be revealed in greater detail at Call of Duty: Next.

If the MW2 BETA in weekend one is exclusively for PlayStation owners, then the weekend two will provide access for players all platforms, including Xbox console and PC. The Xbox and PC players can start to pre-order and take part in Early Access BETA on September 22-23, 2022 at 10 AM PT. Additionally, all PlayStation players will have free access to the BETA during this time.

Then, on September 24 to 26, 2022 at 10 AM PT, all players across every platform will get full chance to play in the Open BETA, although you have not pre-ordered the game. It’s worth noting that the event will end on September 26 at 10 AM PT. So, be sure not missing out this great opportunity.
