Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded roadmap is finally here. Check out the latest features, map and modes included in this update below!
The battle royale midseason refresh for Black Ops Cold War’s free-to-play battle pass is already on the horizon.
The new season of Call of Duty: Warzone is set to shake up the battle with a limited-time event, returning fan favorite mode and more Zombies action.
It also promises players a multiplayer map that’s perfect for cold war fans who can’t get enough futuristic warfare in their life!
Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded Release Date
On September 9, Activision will launch Season 5 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Cold War and COD: Warfare. The update is free to download on all consoles and PC platforms.
According to a blog post from Treyarch, the new update will roll out throughout the week. Cold War is slated for September 8 at 12 a.m. ET / 9 p.m PT and 24 hours later on September 9 at 12 a.m. In addition, there will be an accompanying Warzone update that you can download as well!
New Map
The new season of content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brings a remake of Zoo. It was previously available in the first Black Ops entry via post-launch DLC. The map has been reshaped to support six-versus-six lobbies, while resizing the layout with a direct focus on zoo exhibits and attractions.
The monorail will still be there for those who want to snipe, while the souvenir shop scratches that close quarters itch. There’s also a 24/7 playlist available so you can get your fill of playing on Zoo without waiting in rotation!
Modern Warfare fans will be excited to hear that the classic Demolition mode is returning in Call of Duty Cold War. In this Search & Destroy-inspired game, one team tries to plant a bomb while the other defends its base and respawns are enabled.
Zombies are back for another season of epic battles with the release of new maps. Armada, a former site where both NATO and Warsaw Pact forces had skirmishes in the North Atlantic Ocean will be added as an Outbreak location on some maps this time around!
A new world event will also be added, allowing players to discover four varieties of a Black Chest — small, medium, large and golden.
Players who love the traditional Resident Evil gameplay should look out for Rampage Inducer. This orange canister of essence will be available in each match’s starting area as an optional challenge. The inducer drastically scales the difficulty with zombies endlessly sprinting, plus increased spawn rates until round 20 or when your team is wiped out.
New Modes
Battle it out with 50 players in Warzone Rumble, a new action-packed mode that’s returning to Verdansk.
The return of the hit game, Rumble. Two teams battle it out to see who can get 500 points first on this map with unlimited respawns until both members of one team are killed off. Locations include Downtown, Boneyard and Factory!
Ready for the ultimate showdown? The Rumble foundation returns with two teams facing a deathmatch style battle on smaller sections of Verdansk, where players can respawn until one team reaches 500 points.
The gulag will still provide a second chance for those killed in Iron Trials, though with some tweaks. Semi-auto and full-auto shotguns won’t appear in the Iron Trials Gulag, tactical equipment will be limited, and the surviving player redeploys to battleground with their weapon from that tournament. The squad who scores first place also receive an exclusive calling card as well!
Call of Duty Season 5 Limited Time Event
Players are encouraged to investigate broadcasts that have been blasting “Dragovich Program” tapes across Verdansk. For Warzone matches, players will be given $2,000 in-game cash rewards for participating.
For the Numbers event, players will get nine challenges to complete. Players can unlock various cosmetic rewards and a new arcade cabinet if they are able to finish all of these challenges in either Cold War or Warzone. Completing each challenge unlocks Sai melee weapons for both modes.
Don’t get too comfortable playing Outbreak Survival mode in Zombies. Players are only armed with a single 1911 handgun, no maps or music to guide them, and have limited ammo during this chaotic experience where the zombie horde is out for blood.
You will need to find items ranging in rarity and eat them for survival. Canned corn, chocolate chip cookies, and even entire pizzas are available for consumption when you’re scavenging through the zombie apocalypse.
Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded New Operators
Along with all the other free content, two new in-season operator skins will become available for purchase in the store shortly after the Season 5 Reloaded update. Special Agent Jason Hudson will be joining the fight as an operator and part of a bundle that includes three legendary weapon blueprints.
If you haven’t gotten enough of the 1980s themed crossovers from additions of John McClane and Rambo, there’s still more to come. Judge Dredd will join the game as a DLC skin for Beck later in the season with several add-ons such as “comic strip” cell shaded black and white skins, weapon blueprints with tracers that look like they’re drawn by hand on paper, finishing move moves
There will be a plethora of other skins and bundles available throughout the remainder of this season, as well. All customization options are also made accessible in both Warzone and Cold War game modes!
