Are you trying to main Kassadin Wild Rift? Here’s everything you need to know about this champion in League of Legends Wild Rift.

Every champion has a different time when their power spikes. Kassadin reaches his as soon as he completes his first Mythic item, which should take around 10 minutes if you’re doing well enough. This can be difficult to pull off because Kassadin’s early game is quite weak.

Kassadin, on the other hand, will transform into an absolute beast once you get past the early game. His burst becomes more powerful, his roams become more dangerous, and his ganks almost always result in a kill. This champion can easily take over a game in the right hands.

Kassadin’s kit is focused on dealing damage. Burst damage, to be precise. He’s the ideal counter to mages because he uses their own strength against them.

Passive – Void Stone

Kassadin takes 10% reduced magic damage and ignores unit collisions.

Kassadin’s passive is simple and straightforward, but it is an essential part of his arsenal. This makes him resistant to magical damage, which adds to his ability as an anti-mage mage. Ignoring unit collision also allows him to walk up to an enemy and poke them in the laning stage with ease.

Q – Null Sphere

Kassadin fires an orb of void energy that deals magic damage and interrupts channels.

The excess energy forms a shield around himself, absorbing magical damage for 1.5 seconds.

Kassadin’s bread and butter ability is Null Sphere. You’ll primarily use this to deal damage. This is his most consistent and spammable source of damage. It also grants him a magical absorbent shield, which can come in handy when trading with mages in the mid lane. While it does not provide crowd control, it can be used to break up channeling spells such as Lucian’s The Culling or Malzahar’s Nether Grasp.

W – Nether Blade

Passive: Kassadin’s melee attacks deal 20 (+10%) bonus magic damage.

Kassadin charges his Nether Blade, causing his next basic attack to deal bonus magic damage and replenish his Mana (quintupled against champions).

A lot of new players underestimate the power of this ability. Aside from its awesome name, Nether Blade deals insanely high damage in the early game. Especially when you consider that you’ll mostly be up against squishy mages. The passive is very nice and can be extremely useful for last-hitting minions. The active, on the other hand, is useful for trading and provides some sustain due to Mana restoration. Furthermore, it functions as an auto attack reset, so if you time it correctly, you can actually double the damage you deal in a split second.

E – Force Pulse

Kassadin draws energy from nearby spells, gaining a charge whenever a spell is cast near him. When he has 6 charges, Kassadin can use Force Pulse to deal magic damage and slow enemies in a cone in front of him for 1 second.

Force Pulse can be difficult to use. It can be difficult to give up all the time in the early game because you and your opponent won’t be able to easily spam your spells. However, by the end of the game or in team fights, you’ll usually have enough charges to keep Force Pulse active all the time. Use this to deal good burst damage and to slow enemies so you can stick to them more effectively.

R – Riftwalk

Kassadin teleports to a nearby location, dealing magic damage to enemy units in the area. Each Riftwalk within the next 15 seconds doubles the Mana cost and deals extra magic damage per stack, stacking up to 4 times.

Kassadin’s signature ability is Riftwalk. This is what will increase the strength of your power spikes. Kassadin’s mobility will increase tenfold once you have this ability. It provides you with numerous opportunities to secure leads. Whether it’s through ganking or simply bursting down opponents. It should go without saying that this ability isn’t only used offensively. This ability allows you to easily dodge abilities and outplay your opponents.

When it comes to items, you’ll mostly be concerned with increasing Kassadin’s ability power while also making him durable enough to survive dives into the enemy’s backline.

Starting Items

When it comes to starting items, Kassadin Wild Rift has several options. Doran’s Ring and a couple of Health Potions are always the safest bet. Doran’s Ring provides him with health and ability power, which will aid him in the early stages of the game. It also has a passive that boosts his mana regeneration whenever he deals damage to an enemy.

If you want to play more aggressively, use Corrupting Potion, which restores health and mana while adding a burn effect to your basic attacks when used. If you want to get a head start on some of your core items, go ahead and grab Tear of the Goddess right away. Having it early implies

Mythic Items

There are three fantastic items to choose from for your Mythic item. Most AP Mythic items are viable on Kassadin and can be ideal in certain circumstances. These three, on the other hand, are better suited for general situations and have few drawbacks. Let’s take a look at each one individually.

  • Crown of the Shattered Queen

60 Ability Power

250 Health

600 Mana

20 Ability Haste

Divine Safeguard: Your champion is Safeguarded, reducing incoming champion damage by 75%. Safeguard persists for 1.5 seconds after taking champion damage. (40 second cooldown).

Holy Gift: While Safeguarded and for 3 seconds after it is broken, gain 10-40 ability power.

Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items 1% Move Speed and 8 Ability Power.

  • Luden’s Tempest

80 Ability Power

6 Magic Penetration

600 Mana

20 ability Haste

Echo: Damaging abilities deal an additional (100 + 10% Ability Power) magic damage to the target and 3 nearby enemies while granting you 15% Move Speed for 2 seconds (10s cooldown). Dealing ability damage to champions reduces this item’s cooldown by 0.5 seconds, up to 3 seconds per spell cast.

Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items 5 Magic Penetration.

  • Everfrost

70 Ability Power

250 Health

600 Mana

20 Ability Haste

Active – Glaciate: Deal (100 + 30% Ability Power) magic damage in a cone, slowing enemies by 65% for 1.5 seconds. Enemies at the center of the cone are rooted instead (30s cooldown).

Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items 10 Ability Power.

All of these items are fantastic on Kassadin Wild Rift, but Crown of the Shattered Queen is the best Mythic on this champion. It provides him with everything he requires, and the safeguard passive allows him to be more aggressive when diving the opposing team’s backline.

Following the purchase of your desired Mythic, you must upgrade your boots. For Magic Penetration, always use Sorcerer’s Shoes. Following that, you must complete your Archangel’s Staff to gain the bonus mana and ability power. You’ll need Zhonya’s Hourglass to activate the stasis and gain even more ability power. To increase your damage, finish your build with Void Staff and Rabadon’s Deathcap.

Other Viable Kassadin Wild Rift Items

Most AP items, you could argue, are playable on Kassadin. While this is correct, not all of them improve his effectiveness other than giving him more ability power. These other viable items are typically used to counter specific heroes or simply to increase damage. Banshee’s Veil is excellent for the spell shield passive, which can come in handy if you’re being targeted by the enemy team’s crowd control.

When you cast abilities, Cosmic Drive allows you to stay mobile. Demonic Embrace is ideal for tank shredding, while Lich Bane is ideal for when you simply want more burst. There are numerous useful items that can be used on Kassadin. We encourage you to try them all on to get a feel for them and decide for yourself which items look best on this champion.

Runes

Choose the Domination tree for your runes and Electrocute as your keystone. When you perform a combo as Kassadin, this will increase your overall damage. Next, use Taste of Blood to heal, Eyeball Collection to increase damage, and Ravenous Hunter to increase omnivamp. Take Presence of Mind and Coup De Grace from the Precision tree for your secondary spells. These boost your mana regeneration and damage against low-health targets. Take double Adaptive Force and Armor for rune shards.

Kassadin Wild Rift Useful Tips

  1. Kassadin has a weak early game, so farming and playing it safe is a better option. Attempt to gank your lane with your Jungler so that you can take the lead and snowball your way to victory.
  2. Champions such as Twisted Fate, Katarina, Fizz, Sylas, and Veigar oppose Kassadin. If you see any of these champions on the opposing team, you should reconsider your strategy and proceed with caution.
  3. You have two sets of summoner spells to choose from. If you want to play aggressively, use Flash and Ignite. If you want to have more presence on the map or split push, replace Ignite with Teleport.
