How to edit TikTok videos?

Here are the following tips when you’re editing your TikTok videos.

1. Editing videos from your camera roll

You can record your videos from the TikTok app or use a pre-recorded video from the camera roll and edit them using TikTok. To add a video from your gallery, tap the “plus” button at the bottom of the app to make a new TikTok. Now press the square button that says upload in the bottom right corner of the app.

You can select multiple videos and photos from your gallery to combine into a new TikTok. Once you have selected your preferred clips and photos, you can start editing your new TikTok.

2. Adding captions to your video

Adding captions to your TikTok video is very straightforward. Once you have uploaded or recorded a video, tap the “text” button in the top right corner of the app. Now you can type whatever caption you want. You can also select whatever font, background, outline, or text alignment you prefer.

Once you have written your caption, press “done” in the top right corner to exit the text mode. You can make the text smaller by using your two fingers and also dragging it somewhere else. You can tap on the caption again for further editing. For instance, TikTok allows you to set the duration of the text and add a text-to-speech effect on the caption.

You’ll have different voice options to select from when adding the text-to-speech effect to your caption. If you wish to remove the caption, you can just drag it to the dustbin icon at the top of the app. You can also transcribe your voice in TikTok by pressing the captions button on the top right corner of the app.

3. Adding transitions to your video

When it comes to transitions, you can either use the built-in transitions that TikTok provides or create your own. The latter offers much more creativity and versatility. To create your own transitions in TikTok, switch to “camera” mode. This will allow you to record more videos. To create a transition effect, end your first video with the first half of your transition effect.

Now, start your second video with the second half of your transition effect. Now your transition effect is complete. Once you have added all the clips you wanted to add, tap the checkmark. TikTok will combine everything into a new clip. You can tap the “adjust clip” to align your videos and ensure they have a smooth flow to them.
