Call of Duty Steam Finally Appears After So Long Exclusively on Battle Net

There is good and bad news regarding Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Reboot, where the good news is that this game finally appears on Steam after almost 5 years of being exclusive on the Battle Net, which at the same time answers rumors that this COD MW2 Reboot will return to Steam.

The bad news? The price posted by Activision does not use Regional Pricing at all (price adjustment according to the country’s economic strength).

The price is so expensive because it follows the 70 dollar exchange rate.

This is a dilemma for some gamers, because on the one hand, they are happy that the COD game is finally back after being exclusive on Battle Net for a long time, but on the other hand, they are quite annoyed because the price is too expensive for a game.

Activision announced that the company is preparing a new Call of Duty Modern Warfare game this year. Good news, the publisher has revealed the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to fans.

Not only that, Activision also announced the release date of their latest game title. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will launch on October 28, 2022.

The latest game stars returning series characters such as Captain Price and others. There are several familiar character faces in COD such as Soap, Brick, Taz, Soup, Gimble, Thud, Trixie, Missile, Chip, Door, Furd, Dunston, Gitmo, and of course, Captain Price.

Within one day, the video titled “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – World Gameplay Reveal Trailer” has been viewed more than 23 million times.

This implies that fans are quite interested in looking forward to the latest Call of Duty game. According to Games Radar, the new element that is present is “water technology”. This impressive feature means that the environment will react to adverse weather conditions.

As we can see in the trailer, as players battle the elements, they are also tasked with avoiding shipping containers and other hazards as they slip and slide around the map. Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare which launched in 2019.

“Starting with Modern Warfare 2, this new title features a new generation engine that first debuted with Modern Warfare (2019). Modern Warfare 2 features a physically based material system enabling advanced photogrammetry, a new hybrid streaming system, a new PBR decal rendering system, 4K HDR support, and GPU geometries.

All of these features support the massive Campaign cinematic effects. The game also supports the latest AI system.

The developer and publisher of the Call of Duty game, Activision, has a new way to eradicate cheaters who appear in the CoD Vanguard and Warzone games. 

Activision has launched an anti- cheat tool that can identify cheaters in the game. The tools were designed by Ricochet, the team responsible for delivering anti-cheat solutions for Call of Duty servers. 

The tool is called Disarm. Disarm is a new anti-cheat in the game, complementing Damage Shield and Cloaking.

With Disarm all weapons belonging to cheaters will be robbed, including the ability to hit with bare hands. Thus, the movement of the cheater in the game will automatically be increasingly limited. 

Activision itself previously had two other tools to eradicate cheating players, namely Damage Shield and Cloaking. 

Damage Shield is an instant protection given to players who accidentally encounter cheaters or cheaters in a match. 

This Damage Shield will be able to activate “God Mode” which can reduce the attacks received from cheaters. 

Thus, it will be difficult for cheaters to beat other players, as well as making cheaters more easily recognized by the system. 

While Cloaking is an ability that is able to make players disappear from the game screen and map, if they receive attacks from cheaters.

Besides being able to eliminate characters, movements and shots from players who are being protected by Cloaking will also not be heard. 

This causes cheaters to be confused and find it difficult to track players’ whereabouts. 

With this tool, Activison has time to collect data from cheater accounts, in order to help Ricochet to block them permanently. 

Since last February, Activision is reported to have blocked (ban) more than 180,000 players in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, as compiled from the Call of Duty blog, Monday (27/6/2022). 

Activision also promised to bring Disarm, Damage Shield and Cloaking tools to other Call of Duty series, namely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.
